Nancy Shores passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, daughter to the late Paul and Minnie V Baker. She was a woman of faith and prayer who loved Jesus wholeheartedly. She was a wonderful mother to her children and loved her family deeply. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Ron Clemmer and later became a devoted wife to Chuck Shores who preceded her in going to Heaven. She stayed committed and steadfast in her marriages, including her marriage prior to Ron and Chuck. Nancy and Ron planted a mission church in Hogansville, Georgia that changed the lives of their parishioners and impacted the community in many beautiful ways.
Having fun together with her family was at the top of Nancy's priority list. She brought exuberance into every occasion with her upbeat personality. She had a gift for seeing people through God’s eyes. She loved unconditionally and accepted people of all backgrounds without judgment. She lived life as a great adventure, appreciating and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. She was a gifted gardener and had an amazing talent for decorating her home. She lived life to the fullest in every season and enjoyed the simple things. Her joy, laughter, and her gracious disposition will be remembered forever.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Karen) Harper, Amy (Michael) von Borstel; grandchildren, Christa von Borstel, Thomas von Borstel, Ryan (Bria) Harper, Rachel (Rosco) Stewart, Jessica Harper, Katelyn Harper; brother, Van (Nancy) Baker; niece, Ashley (Scott) Erb; six great-grandchildren, three step-daughters, and many step-grandchildren.
