Mary “Pat” Davis Roland, 74, of Peachtree City, GA went to be with her Savior on May 1, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1940 in Fannin County, GA to the late Frank H. Davis of Maryville, TN and Maude Allen Davis of Lenoir, NC. Ms. Roland worked as a certified medical assistant for 40 years. She was an avid bird watcher, reader, and dog lover.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bobby Davis, of Lenoir, NC; and one sister, Frankie Mae Davis Luther of Andrews, NC.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca Dockery Banks, MD and Theresa Dockery Tramble, both of Peachtree City, GA; granddaughter, April Christina Williams and her husband, Jason and one great-granddaughter, Lauren Kelly Williams, all of Vale, NC; one sister, Barbara Sue Davis Hogan and her husband, Bobby of Granite Falls, NC; three brothers, Harold Davis and his wife, Sandra of Lenoir, NC, Charles Davis of Chantilly, VA, and Jimmy Hughes and his wife, Vickie of Blue Ridge, GA; one sister-in-law, Lula Hughes Davis of Lenoir, NC; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ms. Roland chose to make a whole body donation to science. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 4:00pm in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 3:00pm-4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Fayette County Animal Shelter.
