Mark Rogers

Mark Rogers of Peachtree City, GA passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2022 with his wife, Linda by his side. He was born on August 22, 1956 in Macon, GA to the late Barbara Jean and Ralph Rogers.

Mark graduated from Mercer University with a BA degree and completed his Master of Arts in Economics at Vanderbilt University. He also completed an Executive Development Program at Boston University. Mark served as an adjunct professor of economics and business statistics for Clayton State University. He has lectured nationally and conducted numerous Georgia Bar approved CLE seminars.

Mark worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta for 19 years and as a Senior US economist for Econoday. Most recently, Mark was president of Rogers Economics, Inc., and has been recognized as an expert on child costs as related to family law issues and personal injury cases.

In 1998, Mark was appointed by the Governor to the Georgia Commission on Child Support. He was currently serving as a member of the Georgia Child Support Commission’s low-income study committee and the parenting time study committee.

Mark is the author of the Handbook of Key Economic Indicators, (McGraw Hill Professional publishing, 1998); Chinese edition, 1999 and the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Economic Indicators (Alpha Books, 2009). In addition, he has been authored many publications throughout his career as an Economist.

In his spare time, Mark enjoyed running, playing tennis, astronomy, reading and gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandsons.

Mark is survived by his wife, Linda Holmes Rogers; sons, Alex Rogers, Alexander Holmes (Barbara); daughters, Graceann Saye (Josh), Paige Edwards (Colin); grandchildren, Milo Saye, Ivan Saye, and Diego Holmes; brother, Richard Rogers; and sister, Barbara Burris (Doug).

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00pm, in the chapel, at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory in Peachtree City, GA. There will be a visitation with family and friends after the service.
