John David Holt

John David Holt, age 68, of Senoia, GA transitioned unexpectedly in the arms of his loving wife and courageous son, and surrounded by his immediate family on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was born January 17, 1956 in Detroit, MI to Myrtle Carter Holt. He graduated from Wayne County High School in 1974.

John had recently retired after a successful career as President of his own Plumbing Company in Fayetteville, GA. Besides being a devoted Father, he was an avid pool player, participating in tournaments every week with his friends. His passion was reading, which he read over 2000 books throughout his life. In his spare time, he worked on projects in his basement, while listening to a variety of music/artists. John was a good man with a warm heart & all around great person which made everyone love him even more.

Survivors include his wife partner in life, Danielle McQueen; and four beautiful children: Shelley Burdette of Johns Island, SC; Travis Holt of Senoia, GA; Emily Holt of McDonough, GA; Caden McQueen of Senoia, GA; three grandchildren: Landon Bibbins of McDonough, GA; and Avery and Wyatt Burdette both of Johns Island, SC; brother, Donald Holt of Gulfport, MS; and sisters, Susan Elizabeth Rine (Wayne B. Rine) of Jonesboro, GA and Patricia Ann Hughes (James B. Hughes) of Fayetteville, GA.

He will be dearly missed by his family, loved ones, and the many friends that he leaves behind to cherish his memory.

No services will be held per his request.

Dear John, I understand as we discussed, but my heart is broken. You loved me for me and had no barriers showing your love. The best thing we did was to hold on to each other.
