Janet was preceded in death by her parents Henry York Schwamb and Winifred Wright Schwamb, as well as her daughter Donette Audrey Owen.
Janet, known by all as Mi-Ma, is survived by her brother Kennard York Schwamb of Pawleys Island, SC., daughter Judy O. Schneider and her husband Andy H. Schneider of Tyrone, Ga., and her daughter Joy O. Perry and her husband Paul C. Perry of Conway, SC., as well as four grandchildren Melanie Galloway and husband Westin Galloway, Brittany Lake and her husband Brandon Lake, Carlton Perry and Brennan Perry.
Janet was born in Bronx, NY on September 27, 1929 and resided in Hopewell Junction, New York, North Carolina, Myrtle Beach, SC and most recently Peachtree City, Ga. She spent her life as a housewife and vocationally in accounts receivable.
Mi-Ma volunteered for the American Heart Association, Socastee Library, and Peachtree City United Methodist Church Crochet Group. Her hobbies included playing bridge, crocheting, knitting and gardening. Her favorite times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 4th, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City with Eric Ramsey presiding. An additional memorial service will be held during the first week of July at Lakewood Camping Resort Amphitheatre in Myrtle Beach, SC with Dr. Wayne Brown residing.
