James Hancel Duke, 76, returned to God on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at his home in Woodstock, GA. He was born in Atlanta, GA on June 27, 1945 to the late Eva Marie Duke and James Hancel Duke, and was the oldest of four siblings.
He was the first in his family to go to college, and he received his degree in business from Georgia State University, and from there he went on to work for S.P. Richards for 42 years.
James was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard Duke and Jerry Creech; and his granddaughter, Kailey Duke.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Duke; his two daughters, Laura and Ginny Duke; his 6 grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and his brother, Larry David Creech.
He will be remembered by all who knew him as a caring, generous, and fair man.
The family is preparing a Celebration of Life Ceremony at a later date.
