Geraldine Germaine Brower, 92, Peachtree City, GA. Loving Mom, Grandmother, Great Grand Mother, and Sister, passed away peacefully in the early morning Friday February 24th 2023 at her Daughter’s home in Villa Rica, GA. She was surrounded by Family and loved ones. She was born on November 6, 1930 to the late Katherine and Klebear Frappart in Saginaw, MI.
She graduated St. Peter and Paul’s High School in Saginaw. Her first job was at Michigan Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator. After her marriage she took time to raise a family. Later years she went back to work and worked in many clerical settings. Her strengths were in book keeping and accounting. Numbers were her thing.
She enjoyed Interior Design, gardening, and traveling. Many of hours were spent shopping to find the right pieces, looks, and colors for her home. Her yard always was well adorned with beautiful flowers and plants. And, when she moved to a Condominium her patio was a beautiful place to sit out and enjoy her patio flowers. It was a place of serenity. She got to travel to many destinations. The Ocean was one of her most favorite places. She had interest in historical buildings and monuments.
She lived life with Kindness and generosity. She had a special way of connecting with others. Many of her Children’s friends knew her affectionately as “Moms”. She made everyone feel welcomed and her smile was infectious. To know her was a blessing. Her home was a place to gather and have long conversations filled with laughter, reminiscing, and subjects that would pick your intellectual mind.
“Moms” showed us how important it is to be humble and grateful. Her mission in life was to make others Happy. She always put others before herself. She was a beacon of light in our lives. “Moms “was loved beyond measure and will truly be missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Roberta Woods, Marie Holly, Dorothy Droomer, Kay Preston, and Alice Cook; and her former spouse, Darel Roy Brower, with whom they had seven children together.
She is survived by her seven children, Debby Wheeler (Terry), Dana Brower, Keith Brower, Clay Brower (Debbie), Darren Brower (Susan), Melissa Brower (Richard Fahey), Sabrina Elick (Jim); three grandchildren, Kirt Wheeler, Chad Brower, and Danielle Beebe; and four great-grandchildren, Jason, Braxton, Brayden, and Leo.
A Memorial will be held at a later date. A date and time has not been determined.
