Mr. Frank J. Verego, 92, of Peachtree City, GA passed away on Sunday, Aug. 20, 1917, surrounded by his close loving family. Born in Chicago on April 4, 1925, to Frank and Aniela Verego, he was a lifelong Cubs fan. He served in World War II as a corporal in the Army Air Corps. He was a diehard UT Volunteers supporter. He and Doris lived for 42 happy years in Knoxville, TN, where he was employed by Modern Supply. They moved in 2016 to Peachtree City, GA, to be closer to family.
He is preceded in death by son, Gary. He is survived by his lovingly remembered wife, Doris of 69 years; his daughter, Pattie Duncan (Clyde); son, Greg (Vicki); and by grandchildren, Shannon (Scott), Chris (Teesa), and Jennifer (Jason); great-grandchildren, Lexie, Lindsey, Lauren, Daylee, Coleman, Riley, and Reece; and great-great grandchildren, Luke and Maddox.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA at 4:00 pm. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
A private internment will take place in Knoxville, TN on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
