Fae W. Suttles

Mrs. Fae Walker Suttles, 96, of Atlanta, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2025. She was born on July 16, 1928, in Fulton County, GA to the late Walter W. Walker and Minnie Benefield Walker.

Fae was a dedicated member of the Mt. Gilead Methodist Church for many years. She was an Executive Secretary with Gulf Oil Corporation during her working career. She was a seamstress and quilter extraordinaire. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by them.

She was preceded in death, in 2019, by her beloved husband of 69 years, Joseph P. Suttles, Sr.; her loving parents; her brothers, Ralph Walker, George Walker, and Russell Walker; her sisters, Gladys Walker Jones, Helen Walker Estes, and Mae Walker Stewart (her twin).

Fae is survived by her loving son, Joseph P. Suttles, Jr. and daughter, Valeria Suttles Myers; her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Myers and Charlotte Myers Howell; one very precious great-granddaughter, Virginia Howell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11:00am at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory in Peachtree City, GA. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA following the service.
