Darlene Ellen Williams Dubey, a resident of Peachtree City, Georgia passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 1, 2020 which was the day of her beloved brother’s birthday. She was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1932 to the late Clifton Williams and Dorothy Williams, nee Cline.
Darlene’s love of Chicago never left her even though she moved from Chicago over fifty years ago. She had funny stories of living in a walk-up with extended family and having a monkey for a pet! She was a labor and delivery nurse for many years in Phoenix, Arizona and helped deliver countless babies. Darlene was happiest when she was painting, knitting, drawing, spending time with her dog, and cooking for her family. Her family is blessed with her beautiful artwork that she made, so they will always have a piece of her to remind them when she was happiest.
Darlene is survived by two of her daughters, Kris Mae and Sharon McGraw; son, David McGraw and daughter in-law, Teri McGraw. Darlene’s daughter, Jaclynn Cable predeceased her. Darlene’s legacy continues in her grandchildren including Carisa Cable, Kline Cable (Heather), Johnny Hernandez, MacKenzie Dalton (Michael) and Ian McGraw; and her great-grandchildren, Eleanor Cable, Knox Cable, Harper Cable, Reagan Peppers and Eric Cable.
