Marilyn Almira Rupp Barklow

Marilyn Almira Barklow went to be with her Lord on Jan. 12, 2016. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19th at the Church of the Nazarene, 1980 7th Avenue N, Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Marilyn was born on April 28, 1939 to Albert and Esther Rupp in Payette, ID, in her grandparents’ home. She graduated from Ontario High School in 1957. She married Ray Wallace Barklow on Feb. 14, 1970. She and Wally milked cows and farmed 120 acres together. Her family was everything to her. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were the special light of her life. Her grandchildren have special memories of the parties she used to hold for them: hobo parties, Halloween parties, and everything green party (including green mash potatoes). Her mother was her best friend in life. They talked almost every day. She raised three children: Tim, Twila, and Myla and a nephew Duke Rupp. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young person and continued to serve the Lord the rest of her life. She attended Payette Assembly of God, Fruitland Assembly of God, and Huntington Community. She took great pride in keeping a home and enjoyed collecting antiques. She had a sense of humor that she kept till the very end.

She is survived by her husband Wallace; a son Tim (& Angela) Barklow of Ontario; daughters Twila (& Mike) of Florence, OR and Myla (Dan) of California; grandchildren and a great grandchild (with another on the way); her mother Esther Rupp; and a brother Merlin.

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Rupp; her nephew Duke Rupp; and a brother Joe Rupp.
