Shirley Geraldine Mathews

Shirley Geraldine Mathews, 88, of Pataskala, Ohio passed away Monday, December 11th, 2023 peacefully at her home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born August 18th, 1935 in Madawaska, Maine to the late Isaie and Emily Cyr. Shirley retired from Columbus Public Schools. In her free time she would enjoy yoga classes, tap dancing, taking care of her puppies & spending quality time with her family & friends. Shirley is survived by her loving children, Lois Mathews, Gina Pearce, Leslie Mateus, Alfred J. (Debra) Mathews; Grandchildren; Mathew Deskins, Holly Hanna, Joshua (Tiffani) Stanton, Jessica Stanton, and Jason (Courtney) Mathews; Great Grandchildren; Kristopher, Kaleb, Kelsey, Darien, Korin, Urias, Owen, Ivy, Kamryn, Hannah, Haleigh, Samantha, Adeline, Colsen. Great Great Grandson; Waylon. Sisters; Jossie Rossingnol of Madawaska, Maine & Janice (Ed) Parker of Duvall, Washington. And a host of other loved ones, Family & Friends. In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in passing by her beloved husband Alfred Mathews and four siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Shirley’s name to Mt.
