Paul D. Parsons, age 88, of Pataskala passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday April 11, 2021. He was born on March, 30, 1933 to Roy C. and Valena M. Parsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law Vernard and Blanche Hindman, and a sister-in-law Cleo Hindman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jean Hindman Parsons, two sons Chris (Vici) Parsons and Shawn Parsons, two sisters Charlene (Jim) Bascom and Betty (Patrick) Rose, sister-in-law Marie Hindman, four nieces Melody (Dennis) Frey, Cynthia Bascom, Melissa Brown, and Kristel (John) Quarti, one nephew Tim Brown and partner Matthew Goins, and three step grandchildren Jessie, Andrea, and Nicholus. Paul started working at the Pataskala Kroger at the age of fifteen. He enlisted in the army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he returned to the Kroger Co. and retired after 44 years. During his lifetime and after retirement his hobby was building muzzle loading rifles. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing with family. Family and friends may call from 12-1pm Friday, April 16, 2021 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home 289 S. Main St. Pataskala, Ohio 43062. Following the calling hours there will be a service officiated by Rev. Leo Frailey, and a burial service with military honors will be held at the Jersey Cemetery.
