Judith Susan (Bibler) Kolk, 80, of Pataskala (Etna), Ohio, passed away on December 22, 2024, due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 61 years, David L. Kolk, her daughter, Patricia S. Coffey, her parents, her sister Patricia, and her brother David. She is survived by daughters Teresa “Tracy” (Chris) Bowling and Lisa (Larry) Sheets; five grandchildren, Jessica, Kathryn, Ian, Amanda, and Rebecca; six great-grandchildren; brothers Jim, Randy, and Doug Morrison; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Susan retired from the Ohio Supreme Court Law Library in 2008 with 16 years of service. She was previously employed by the Pataskala Standard when it was locally owned. Susan served on the Southwest Licking School District Board of Education for eight years in the 1980s, with two years as its President. Susan became a reserve officer with the Columbus Division of Police in 1990 and served for 25 years, working thousands of volunteer hours. Susan spent much of her additional time traveling, cruising, reading, playing cards and dominoes, and visiting with family.
The Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home in Pataskala, Ohio, is handling arrangements. At Susan’s request, there will be no memorial service. Susan’s family would like to thank Capital City Hospice for their efforts and assistance during the final year of her life and Our Home New Albany for providing her with care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you contribute to Capital City Hospice in her name instead.
