Ms. Eileen L. Shepherd Armstrong

Age 95, passed away on Thursday, March 16th 2017 under the care and love of her family and friends at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, Ohio. She was born October 8th, 1921 in Portland, Indiana to the late William M. and Grace A. Shepherd.

Eileen and her late husband Arlie, were a team throughout their sixty-three years working, playing and raising a family together. She was a kind neighbor and friend, never failing to send a card or letter on birthdays or holidays to those she loved and cared about. She loved flowers, gardening, hunting mushrooms in the spring and being outdoors. Camping was a big part of summer when the children were at home and later on in retirement. More than anything she loved and was very proud of her family.

She will be deeply missed by her children Larry (Martha Mae) Armstrong, Tucson, AZ, Stan (Pete Ann) Armstrong, Davenport, FL, Dr. Linda (James} Ward, Seabring, FL, Nancy (Mark) Painter, Etna, OH, her 15 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and her 17 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arlie L. Armstrong, her brothers Daryl Shepherd, Kenneth Shepherd, David Shepherd, Robert Shepherd, James Shepherd, Fred Shepherd, Roland Shepherd, and her sister Reita Pyle.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date in Arizona. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
