I went to Harvard School with Phil 50 years ago, and some change. 

We boarded there in '67 when, one hot Valley summer day before the school year began, we started Palantir magazine, as our unsanctioned alternative to the official school rag, edited by David Talbot. 

Phil was a very lively intelligence who said some very nice things about me, and I'll always remember him.
