Mary (Coughlin) Desmarais born on January 23, 1922 in Providence, Rhode Island passed away on July 21, 2018. In February of 1943 Mary married Alfred Desmarais and they had 3 children, Alfred C., Patricia and James. Her whole life was devoted to her family and her church. They moved from Rhode Island to Southern California in 1956 where she stayed until she moved to Paso Robles following her husband’s death.
Her volunteer activities through the years included counseling in Pro-Life Center in Santa Ana and St. Vincent de Paul and a Hospital Volunteer. In Paso Robles, she was a counselor at Loaves and Fishes and worked at the Reception desk at the Senior Center. Mary was an active member of the St. Rose Catholic Church which she attended daily. For years, Mary was active in the Legion of Mary and she remained an auxiliary member.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Alfred. She is survived by her sons: Alfred C. (Mary) and James (Alison), her daughter: Patricia, three grandchildren: Charles, Margaret and Elizabeth and four great-grandchildren all of Southern California.
