Dan, Danny, Dad, Pop, Pap Pap, Old Man Dan, passed away Thursday, May 6th, 2021 at his home in Paso Robles. Dan was preceded in death by parents William A. Rose and Rose Vourron Rose, his brother William Rose, his sisters Patricia Forsythe and Miriam Rose, and his wife Patricia Rose. He has left behind his three children: Alison (Joey), Iris, and Charlie Rose; his granddaughter Shelby “Lulabelle”; and his sister Margaret Herron, brother Terry Rose, and a wide breadth of extended family and friends.
His larger-than-life personality was with him everywhere he went. Dan’s career began in Panama where he served as a lifeguard in the military for 3 years. Upon returning to the states, he moved to California and became a firefighter in Malibu where he remained for the next twenty years - many of which were spent living with his wife Patti by his side. They then both decided to settle down and raise a family on the Central Coast where they lived for the remainder of their lives.
Throughout Dan’s life he spent his time coming up with zany ideas, creating “yard art”, and driving eclectic creations for the entertainment of friends and onlookers. His bright presence and flare was certainly known and not quickly forgotten. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He would want the stories to remain, the party to continue, and the laughter to echo in our hearts forever. Cheers with a Tecate, NEXT!
