My friendship and business relationship with Wade will be mostly unknown as it dates back to the T.E.Baker&Son days. I have always considered myself fortunate to have known him. Mrs.Baker: My deepest condolences are with you and your children at this time. I lived next door to you from 1997 until 2009 when I moved to Alabama. Mr.Baker helped my son and I rescue two kittens that were born underneath the mowing deck to his tractor and also helped me and another neighbor rescue a pet snake that had somehow gotten inside of a 55-gal drum in your back yard. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you and your entire family in my thoughts.

To the family of Wade Baker:  My heart breaks for your loss of Wade on earth.  I hung wallpaper for Wade for many years. I just remember his big smile and how friendly he always was.  Very patient and just a great person.  When I heard the names called out on the news, I was so saddened.  Wade was as good as they come. This list of memoires is a tribute to the kind of man he was and will always be.  We have lost one of the best...but the Lord has gained an angel.  Rest in peace Wade.  You won't be forgotten.

I met Mr. Wade when I started working at DuPont about 1 1/2 years ago. I started Process Tech school this year, and a suggestion from my professor was to see if I could take a tour of one of the units. Mr. Wade was the first person I thought of. He was truly highly respected DuPont. I did get a tour and I was very excited to see all of the different areas where PT'S were needed. You all truly were blessed with such an outstanding man of God. He seems to have never met a stranger.  Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.  Matt 5:4

I have not seen Wade in many years but I will always remember that wonderful smile and such love and kindness he showed towards his family and friends.  I only got to talk to him when he came into the credit union but he would always leave a smile on your face when he left.  I was so sorry to hear of his loss and my prayers go out to his family and friends as they deal with such a great loss.  He is definitely in Gods hands and we will see that smile again.

In studying scripture, I read that a disciple is one who has found the fullest meaning of their life in Christ; who welcomes others into their home, into their heart, with genuine hospitality and in doing so, is welcoming Christ.  A disciple, then, is one whose heart has grown full to overflowing with love for God and for their neighbor.  That love cannot be contained; it enters into every thought, word, and action of the disciple.  Wade, you were a disciple to many.
This world is a better place because you were in it; and I'm a better person, because I was blessed to have you in my life on earth - Until I see you again....
