Violet Lee Kelley was born on May 12, 1938 to Guy and Nora Anderson, in Brenham, TX. Moved to Houston in 1950 and was baptized at Mason Drive Baptist Church. She was called to dance with her Lord on January 31st in Houston, TX. Violet enjoyed her family, Christian music, cooking and fellowshipping with friends. She worked in food service at Broadway Baptist Church and A&B Child Care. Of course one of her daily highlights was her prime time shows. She loved Wheel of Fortune, and Days of Our Lives. She married the love of her life Leon on June 12, 1956. They celebrated 57 years of the blessings of their children Donnie, Michael, Kim, and Mitchel at Faithbridge Church in Pasadena. She was a resident of Pasadena for 54 years. Violet is survived by her beloved husband Leon, four children, six grandchildren (Jeremy, Ciara, Kayla, Bethany, Jared, and Daniel), three sisters (Margaret, Connie, Pam), and five brothers (Gerald, AAA, Cecil, Floyd, and Guy V. Anderson Jr.) A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 5-7pm. The celebration dance of Violets life will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10:00 am at Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
