Teri Lane Snelling, 54, of Deer Park, passed away Friday, September 8th, after her health declined in the past few months. She was born in Houston, Texas on December 30, 1968 to Patricia Shepard and Jerry Sowma. After graduating from Deer Park High School in 1987, she worked for Continental/United Airlines for over 20 years in customer service and as a senior analyst.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Shepard of Deer Park; grandparents, Ann and Robert Mitchell of Pasadena, Texas; and Norene and Holland Sowma of Hearne, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Tyler Snelling of Crosby, Texas; father and step-mother, Jerry and Debbie Sowma of Bremond, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Tracie and Steve Davis of Pasadena, Texas. She is also survived by her niece, Kelsey Davis and nephew and wife, Jared and Alexandria Davis, along with her great-niece, Parker Ann. She also leaves behind her aunt, Linda Mitchell of Pasadena, Texas; aunt and uncle, Judy and Alan Myers of Granbury, Texas, and many loving cousins and life-long friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, in Bremond, Texas. Family and friends will gather at the Sowma Ranch, a place she loved dearly, to say their final goodbyes. A reception will follow at the home of Kim and Jeff Fritsch. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donating to a charity of your choice.
