Steven Ray Kirk

age of 59.

Steve was born on February 8, 1963 in the Heights. He is preceded in death by his

parents Jimmie and Rose Kirk.

Steve is survived by his long time love Cathy Rossi, his brother

Greg Kirk, daughter Kristin Kirk, son Josh Kirk, daughter in law Melissa and cherished

granddaughter Ginny Mae, as well as Cathy’s children Stephanie Nelson, Stacey Valdez and

husband JJ, and Cathy’s grandchildren Jayden Beaudry and Evelyn Nelson, Kierstin and Emily

Valdez.

In addition, Steve leaves a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.

Steve served as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for more than 30 years. During

his years of service Steve built an extensive law enforcement family whom he held dear.

Steve loved God and was grateful for all of the blessings He bestowed on us every day. Among

Steve’s passions were his family and friends, music, art, travel, his faithful dog Heidi, and

laughter.

Steve was a gifted storyteller and comedian who delighted in making others laugh. His

intelligence and quick wit allowed him to connect easily with all types of people and forge many

valued relationships.

Steve left this earth secure in his faith and the knowledge that God keeps His promises. He will

be missed by many for a very long time. He left one final message for all of us:

“KIRK OUT”
