Sheila Jean Reid

Sheila Jean Reid passed away September 13, 2022, in her home in Seabrook, Texas at 63 years old. She was born July 18, 1959. She grew up in Pasadena, Texas before moving to Seabrook in the 1980s. She is survived by her mother, Audrey Thompson; two daughters, Raimy and Jaimy Jones; and her two grandchildren, Eisley Jones Yzaguirre and Atticus Miller. Her beloved father, Warren Thompson predeceased her in 2002. Sheila graduated from South Houston High School, and attended San Jacinto College. In her youth she was a competitive roller skater, and during young adulthood she was a professional model before entering banking for the majority of her working career. It was there she made lifelong friends and was always remembered by her customers for her welcoming smile and sincerity.

She enjoyed floral arranging, writing poetry, painting, and knitting. She loved becoming a grandmother and was a playful and loving presence in the lives of Eisley and Atticus. She became enamored of all things Italian and her dream was to one day visit the country. Her grandchildren called her, “Mia” and she nicknamed her granddaughter “Mia Bella.” In her final years she was a devoted caretaker of her mother. Sheila showed warmth, compassion, and love to everyone she met, especially her two daughters. Her kindness and sweet nature will be missed by all who knew her.
