Sandra Louque Vann, 71, of Houston, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the presence of her two children. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, compassionate sister and aunt, and a loyal friend. She was "Nana" or "Mama Vann" to everyone.
Sandra was born May 6, 1950 in Lutcher, Louisiana to Ella and Andrew Louque, the fourth of six children. She graduated from Lutcher High school and moved to Texas soon after to work with family and has lived in Houston ever since. She married Dennis Vann in 1975 and was a stay-at-home mom to her children until 1990 when she began working for the Pasadena Independent School District. She served the district for nearly 31 years at Atkinson Elementary School and Melillo Middle School. Sandra’s passions in life included taking pictures, making brownies to share, watching the grandkids play sports, and spending time with family and friends. Her generous spirit touched so many lives as she gave unconditionally, showering others with love and laughter. Sandra had a strong faith and believed that God was in control of all things.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andy Louque; and her loving husband, Dennis Vann. She leaves behind her children, son, Louque Vann and wife Davy; daughter, Jenny Vann; grandchildren, Joshua Vann, Justyce Vann, Benjamin Gutierrez, Madison Gutierrez, and Reilly Dimarco; sister Theresa Freeman and husband Michael; sister Connie Martin and husband “Siggy”; brother Bob Louque and wife Bonnie; brother Kent Louque and wife Pam; sister-in-law, Peggy Louque; and a multitude of family and friends.
