Rudy Augustine Herrera Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Bludworth Herrera, “The Love of His Life”, by his son Rudy A. Herrera Jr., his father Donaciano Herrera, mother Aurora Rodriguez Herrera, brother Gonzalo Herrera, brother Joe Herrera Sr., brother Manuel Herrera, and sister Francis Powel. He is survived by his sister Susan Buckholt. He leaves behind 5 children: daughter Monica Childs and her husband Fred, son Randy Herrera and his wife Natalie, daughter Melodie Cook, son Russell Herrera Sr., daughter Mindy Galvan and her husband Mark, along with 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He has been an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church over 40 years.

Rudy was hard working and a long time business owner in Pasadena, Texas. He was a devoted family man who was greatly respected and loved by everyone.

Public visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Rosary at 6:30pm and eulogy to follow after at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Tx. 77505. Please direct floral and memorial gifts to Grand View Funeral Home.

Mass will be Tuesday August 23, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, Tx. 77017. Interment immediately following at Bethany Grand View. Celebration of life will follow at the family's home.
