I will never forget the time I spent with Uncle Ross and Aunt Lilian during the summer when I was growing up. Wonderful memories I will never forget. He always set a Godly example and lead by example. I am Praying for you all.

Ross,I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. May you and you mom find peace in knowing that you will see him again one day. I know he is rejoicing in seeing his Savior and all his friends and family that have gone on before him.

Dear Mrs. Lillian, Buster and family; Mr. Lucas was one of the sweetest men I've ever known.  He was always ready to give a hug, a smile and a kind word.  He was always so demonstrative of his love for his beautiful wife. He let God's touch flow through him, to others. He was such an example of servant-hood as he served so faithfully as Deacon to our grateful congregation at Second Baptist. I know you will have difficult days ahead, but we pray God's comfort and peace are with you to help you move beyond the grief and reflect on all of the joyful times together. God Bless You All.

First and foremost you were the greatest Grandfather, Pops, Popsy Cola in the WORLD! I love you! I am happy that you are no longer suffering! I miss you and always will but you will always be with me and I know that! Thank you for being who you were! Without you I would not be the person I am today! I love you My Popsy Cola!

Mr. Lucas was such an amazing man. He was so kind to all and just so blessed to have met him. I will remember him as a man of God, devoted husband and father. He always had some type of gum, or candy in his pocket for the kids. I love him so much and so sorry for your loss. I will remember you all in my prayers.

I have visited this guest book probably 100 times trying to find the right words.  
I have decided the only ones that really matter are I Love you Pops and I will miss you! 
I will miss your smile that lit up the room.  I will miss your laugh.  I will miss the unconditional love that you have always had for me.  You have always been one of the most important people in my life.  I love you.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, but especially with Ross. I met your father through Brittany and enjoyed his smile and his enthusiasm for ice cream. I will never eat ice cream again and not think of "Pops". I've walked in your shoes and know that no matter how much we think we are prepared, we never are....but I know that you will find comfort as I do,in the knowledge that we will be reunited one day in heaven.

I am very sorry for your loss.  Our love and prayers go to you and your family in this difficult time.

I'm going to really miss him, his hugs and his peppermints.  I sat just a few rows from him at Richey Street and just loved seeing him go up and kneel at the alter call.  Someone was always there to help him get back to his seat.  He was such a sweet man...and, yes...I don't doubt that he is handing out candies in Heaven.

What a sweet man! He made me feel welcome the first time I visited Second Baptist. He and his dear wife were at just about every function at the church. I remember him being at almost every visitation as well, always smiling and teasing everyone. His love for the Lord was ever obvious and I expect to see him smiling at heavens door- greeting and shaking hands with everyone! God bless you all!

My prayers are with you and your family in this time of need and just remember there not really gone there with you always in your heart. always remembering the good and happy times will get you through.

I remember going to the shop in the mornings Sometimes,  he always had something to show us... Sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

May our hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as we celebrate a life well lived. I love and will miss you Pops.

Uncle Ross always made me smile with his laughter he was special and will be missed.

My prayers are with you all. I thought of Ross yesterday and the memories made me smile. His penny music box and that pink cadillac. He was always good to me and I will always remember him fondly. Love you all.

We will miss Bro. Ross very much at Richey St. Baptist Church.  He was always a ray of sunshine, with a ready smile and a hug to share with everyone.  I pray you will be comforted in this time of loss, knowing he is with his Lord.  Our prayers are with all of the Lucas family.
