Robert Ruiz, 55 of Houston, Texas, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Houston, Texas, August 26, 1958 to parents Fidel Z. Ruiz and Isabel S. Ruiz. He graduated from Milby High School. He married Sylvia E. Ruiz on February 2nd 1985 and fathered 4 sons. After 32 years of dedicated workmanship, he retired from the US Postal Service. He is a member of St. Luke’s the Evangelist Catholic Church and practiced his faith by assisting those in need. He enjoyed coaching and being a part of his son’s activities. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and when the opportunity presented itself he loved taking trips with his family. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sylvia E Ruiz and his four sons Robert Anthony, Jonathan Michael and wife Mitchell, Stephen Lee, and Nicholas James and two grandchildren Izaiah Noel and Aiden Joel Ruiz. His brothers Raymond and wife Yolanda Ruiz, Joe Ruiz, and George Ruiz. His sisters Connie and husband Norberto Gonzalez, Toni and husband Rosendo Rodriguez, as well, as a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fidel and Isabel Ruiz, and Sister Theodora Alonzo.
