Dad... Your newest (and last) grandbaby, Andie Rose, turned 2 months old two days ago. You would just be so smitten over her. I wish so badly I could have seen you hold her. I miss you so much it hurts. I find comfort knowing you are with your dad and mamaw and many other loved ones who went before you. You left such a lasting impression here on earth with every person you met. I'm so proud to be your daughter. I long for the day when we are able to meet again. Save me a seat next to Jesus... We'll take a walk together side by side.. I love you dad.

It has  been thirty days since you left this world as we know it,  and you are so genuinely and deeply missed by all who loved you. Especially Sally and the family that you two built together for over fifty years.  You were a  luck man and we were all lucky to have known you.  Travel well dear Andy, and rest assured that we will all see you again somewhere  along this eternal journey. 

We are privileged to have known Andy.  We always enjoyed his out-going manner, cheerfulness and ease of conversation.  His work ethic will always be an inspiration,  as will his loyalty to those he loved.  We’re grateful we’ve been fortunate enough to have known him and be influenced by him.  He is dearly missed.

There is so much I could say about what an amazing human Andy was to so many. How he selflessly was there to support his family and friends in times of need and always available to lend a helping hand for those he loved. Like the time when I was 19 years old and 8 months pregnant moving across state into my first apartment alone. Without hesitation, Andy volunteered not only to drive the Uhaul truck but also to stay and help set up my apartment. Or the time that I accidently locked my keys in my car in a Target parking lot with a one year old in tow. Who came to rescue us? Andy did… without hesitation. He always made sure that Jaime and I were taken care of no matter what. I could go on and on about his willingness to drop everything and support in times of need but what I will always remember most is the day to day moments of connection that he cultivated with his family. The slow moving mornings of making banana pancakes for us all, the hot afternoons of grilling steaks on the back porch for gatherings that brought us all together, and the evening acoustic guitar sessions in the living room where we were all gathered by the fire listening to him play and sing for us. He was a hard working man that loved his people more than life itself and he taught us all what the word family truly means. His legacy will forever live on in his children and grandchildren. Thank you, Andy, for teaching us all what it means to love selflessly and to center family no matter what.

Andy has been a friend, golfing, fishing, and hunting buddy for 40 years.   I’ve never heard him speak ill of anyone.   I hope my friends can say the same about me when I pass.  Sally and family, be safe and strong.  

I’m so sorry to hear about Andy’s passing. He was a great guy and always had a smile on his face. I considered him a friend, although we had lost touch over the years. He was always there to lend a hand whenever he could and did it out of love, not because he had to. 

Sally, y’all will be in me thoughts over the coming days and weeks. My deepest condolences. 

We will always remember how thoughtful , caring and loving Andy was toward our parents whom he lovingly called Uncle Ted and Aunt Edna Mae.

Once when I was nine, my uncle Andy took me on a drive in his new car. It had buttons on the wheel to make windows go down but I had no idea. My eyes got wide, and his humorous Andy grin stretched wide. He always tried making me laugh until my stomach hurt. We drove and drove, and I tried to find out how he was making the windows go down as he pretended not to know. Finally I figured it out, and we laughed and laughed. 

Sally and Andy were such a huge part of my childhood. They created such a warm home and it was by far my favorite place to be. Any chance I could go to “Andy and Sally’s” was a good time.  Cara was like an older sister to me and Andy tried any time he saw me to make me laugh until my tummy hurt. He made me feel loved, cherished, 
wanted and seen. 

A year ago almost to the date, Andy and Sally brought Nanny to my childrens church dedication. He made that long drive for me, and told me he just felt deep down he was supposed to come to it. He was very nicely dressed in a suit. He said he felt overdressed and laughed, not knowing I felt so special he dressed so handsome and nice to attend their special day. He told my husband as he saw our home that he was proud of us. He slipped me a $100 bill as he left, cracking a joke. I hugged him and looked at him and told him he was so special to me when I was young. He told me he loved me with that special deep Andy voice. He meant it and I knew it. That was my last time seeing him. 

I’m so grateful for witnessing such a beautiful wife and mother like sally be so faithful to her family for so many years. Creating such a wonderful and safe “home.” I’m so grateful to have had the greatest uncle in the world and that my children got to meet him and laugh non-stop like I did as a child. 

Love you Sally and Andy forever and always. 

I was so sad to hear of Andy’s passing. I met Andy when he played poker at my dad’s (Mr. Parker) house,  Andy was one of the kindest people I have ever met.  My dad was also very sad to hear of his passing and reminded me that jack/4 was his favorite poker hand.  May Andy rest in peace.  Deepest condolences to his family.
