Robert “Escy” Escobar of La Porte, Texas passed away suddenly on November 13, 2014 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He had relocated to Pittsburgh in September to become a part of the family business. He was born in La Porte on March 13, 1991 and graduated from La Porte High School in 2009. Robert had just graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Escy was a kind, fun-loving young man who touched many lives. He never hesitated to help others in need. He lived every day to the fullest, with no regrets. To know Robert, was to love him. Robert’s love was so profound that those of us who have embraced his sense of giving will forever feel emptiness in our lives without him.
Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eloy Escobar from San Benito, Texas, and Robert Scullion Sr. from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Survivors include his parents, Ernest (Maria) Escobar, Anna (Paul DeCarrie) Escobar, Sister Rachel (Brian Currier) Escobar, Grandmother Janet Cercone Scullion, three step-sisters Melissa (Ronald) Aleman, Tabitha (Manuel) Cuevas, Rebecca (Jessie) Alcorta, two step-brothers Jason (Michelle) DeCarrie and Jarrod DeCarrie. He had very many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Robert has always been surrounded by a large affectionate family and circle of friends. He will never be forgotten. His spirit will live forever.
