Rhonda Lynn Yockov, 52, passed away Saturday, July 7th, 2018. Rhonda was born March 23rd, 1966 in Pasadena, Texas to her proud parents Mike and Shirley Yockov. In 1984, she graduated Dobie High School and started her career working for a bank.
For over 20 years, she was a dedicated employee of the Pasadena Independent School District’s Facilities and Construction Department. She volunteered with the HOSTS program for many years, helping make a difference in student’s life by giving them extra attention with reading and writing.
Rhonda loved doing any kind of craft, sewing, quilting, word searches, watching mystery movies and traveling across Texas to places like Fredericksburg and San Antonio, always excited to see new things. Though above all, her most favorite thing in the world was her precious family. She cherished attending award ceremonies, graduations, Christmas programs, dance recitals, holidays at home and Sunday afternoon dinners sitting around the table just catching up with everything that her family had going on. She was one of the sweetest and most kind-hearted person in the world. She will be missed more than words can express. Everyone loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mike and Shirley Yockov, brother, Mike “Dude” A. Yockov and many aunts and uncles.
Rhonda will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Reba Sloterdijk, Jason Yockov and wife Amy Yockov. Her nieces and nephews, Kyle Sloterdijk, Sandra Sloterdijk, Crystal Brock and husband, David Cutter Brock, Sarah Plaisance and husband, Kevin Plaisance, Iain Yockov and Declan Yockov. Her great-nieces Caylee Brock, Kinsley McGhee, and Kylinn Brock. Rhonda will also be fondly remembered by many beloved cousins and friends.
