Raymond Flynn

Raymond Browning Flynn, 87, passed from this life on December 20, 2011 in Deer Park, Texas. He was born on March 15, 1924 in Lancaster, South Carolina to Clyde Leslie Flynn and Verdie Mae Roberts-Flynn. Raymond was a member of First United Methodist Church Pasadena since 1949, and employed with Shell Refinery in Deer Park for 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Alva Lee Flynn, and Leon Flynn. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Lazelle Flynn; 1 son, Bob Flynn; 1 daughter, Susan Harrel and her husband Dean; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Flynn, Kate Flynn, Leland Harrel and his wife Kate, and Kent Harrel; 1 sister, Mary E. Campbell; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at First United Methodist Church Pasadena 1062 Fairmont Pkwy. Pasadena, Texas 77504. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made in memory of Raymond to First United Methodist Church Pasadena, or any other charitable organization.
