Randy Porter

Randy Eugene Porter of La Porte, TX went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the age of 60. After several years of declining health following multiple strokes, Randy died peacefully in his sleep. Randy was born in La Porte, TX on November 4, 1962 and graduated from La Porte High School in 1981.

Randy was a hard-working Crane Operator at Kellogg Brown and Root for most of his adult life. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in La Porte, TX in his early years.

Randy loved and was incredibly passionate about world history. You would always find him reading books or watching television shows on the History Channel to grow his knowledge of historical events. Randy was so inspired about history that he enrolled in history classes in his 40s at San Jacinto College and made straight “A”s in his courses.

Randy will be greatly missed as a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His contagious smile and humor will live in our hearts forever. Randy is preceded in death by his parents Millard Eugene Porter and Gloria Jean Porter. He is survived by his daughter Brittany Bellair (and husband Austin), son Ryan Porter (and wife Jennifer), daughter Jessica Davis (and husband Derek), sister Cheryl Renae Fasbender (and husband Darren), grandchildren Rylen Davis, Ashtyn Davis, and Kynnedy Pendergrass, nephews Brennen and Cameron Fasbender, and niece Madeline Fasbender. He leaves behind many other close friends and family who cared for him dearly.

A small viewing will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX. The burial will take place shortly after at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Grand View Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery.
