Paul J. Haas, 75, of Pasadena, Texas, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Paul was born on October 5, 1936 in Texarkana to Glenn and Lois Haas of Grand Saline, Texas.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, during which time he met and married Barbara Puckett. They moved to Pasadena in 1962 where he worked for his uncle, John Haas, at his sheet metal business. He retired from Albemarle where he worked in maintenance for 36 years.
Paul has been an active member of Golden Acres Baptist Church since 1965 and a Reserve Deputy for the Harris County Sherriff’s Marine Division for 20 years.
His interests included family, drag racing, and especially watching his grandchildren dance, play sports, and grow up. He devoted much of his time to them.
Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Haas of Pasadena, sister, Wanda Rodgers of Grand Saline, daughter, Paula Carter of Alvin, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Connie Haas of Deer Park, granddaughters Kirstin McNeill, Ashlie Haas, Jamie Haas, Kaley Carter and grandson Caden Carter, numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5PM to 8Pm at Grand View Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11AM at Golden Acres Baptist Church 2812 Pansy in Pasadena, Texas. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
