Patricia Ellen Pesl

Patricia (Pat) Pesl passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Born on October 6, 1932 in Anna, Illinois to Robert and Mayme Patterson. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her sister's Mary Bob Sanders and Ann Huskey, and her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert J. Pesl.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Cole and her husband Gerry, her sons Michael Pes and his wife Missi, James Pesl and his wife Ellen, and Mark Pesl and his wife Mounia. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces.

Pat led an extremely active life. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, she started her professional career as a chemist at Shell Chemical. She left Shell to raise her family and volunteering with the family service center. For 22 years she was the lead administrator at the Pasadena Interfaith Manor. Pat was also very active in the Pasadena Presbyterian Church where you could find her every Sunday. Pat then became involved with the Pasadena Rotary and in her trailblazing role, she became one of the first woman members in Rotary in the world. Pat also became the first woman President of the Pasadena Rotary.

Pat's greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family. Along with the love of her life, her husband Bob, Pat loved new adventures. Whether it was traveling to faraway places, or yearly camping trips to Lake Rayburn, or trying out a new ski slope, Pat was always up for the journey. Many people have been at the end of that ski rope in Lake Rayburn with Pat right next to them teaching them how to ski with her pink hat and floatie. It was also a great celebration each and every Thanksgiving and Christmas at the Pes house. Pat always made sure that everyone had plenty to eat and everyone enjoyed themselves. The world is a better place because of Pat Pesl.

Friends are asked to celebrate her life on Friday November 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church 4647 Preston Ave. Pasadena, Texas 77505 with a social and fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for a donation in Pat's name to either the Pasadena Rotary or the Pasadena Presbyterian Church.

A committal service for Patricia will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77506. A celebration of life will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 4647 Preston Ave, Pasadena, TX 77505. A reception will occur Friday, November 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 4647 Preston Ave, Pasadena, TX 77505.
