Patricia Ann Norris

She was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on April 21, 1930. Patricia graduated from Greenwood High School. She was married to James Henry Norris Jr. on August 17, 1957.

Patricia worked as a legal secretary for the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Coast Guard. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church of Pasadena, where she taught Sunday school for 23 years. She spent her life devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for her family every Sunday.

Her Children and grandchildren attribute their success to her love, support, and mentorship. Pat enjoyed a long, successful career in working for the defense department, as well as the Coast Guard and, received numerous awards. She leaves a great legacy and lives on in the hearts of all that that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Ponton (Johnny), Shirley Gardner (Howard), Gloria Ellis (Clarence), Wanda Norris, James H. Norris, III, Derrick Norris, and Andrea Gilger (Fred); grandchildren, Michelle Stricklin, April Ellis, Amy Pratt, Holly Thacker, Emily Norris, James H. Norris IV, Alexandria Gilger, and Abby Gilger; and brother, Tom Hill Holly, Jr.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Norris, Jr.; her sister, Jessie Holly; brother, Robert Holly; and parents Alma and Tom Hill Holly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
