Norman was preceded in death by brothers Raydell, Mike, and Dale Ray who was two years old; one sister Pat Shannon. Norman is survived by his wife Barbara Jean; sisters Linda Wells and Betty Kennedy; brother Raymond; children Deshon Knoflicek of Manvel, Texas and grandson Scott Hilton, Carol (David) Weld of Houston and grandson Chris Weld, Randy (Wanda) Shannon of Santa Fe and grandsons Ryan and Evan, David (Lavita) Isgate of League City and granddaughter Amanda (Justin) Bussey and 4 great grandchildren, Connor, Camryn, Barrett and Beckett and Teri (Doug) Taylor of LaPorte and granddaughters Shelly and Melissa and 3 great grandsons Austin, Dylan, and Brandon.
Norman retired from HL&P in 1988 as a manager at the Energy Central Center. He was an active member at Living Springs Assembly of God Church where he enjoyed playing guitar, and teaching God’s word on Wednesday evenings and occasionally on Sunday mornings.
Psalm 91:14-15 Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me and I will answer him.
Visitation will be at Grandview Funeral Home Friday, May 22, 2020 from 3pm until 7pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2pm.
