Norma Dee Fields was born in Bloomington, Texas March 25,1930 and went to be with her Lord on September 6, 2022 at age 92. She married the love of her life & best friend John Wesley Fields May 15,1954.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents Kelsie & Ima Lee Geurin, husband John, brothers Charles William & Raymond Milton Simpson, sisters Darris Coleman & Mary Worth, granddaughter Sheila Padgett.
Survived by daughter Sondra Padgett & husband Charley, daughter Janet Caldwell & husband Bob. Also survived by granddaughter Holly Wilder & husband Jonathan, grandson Dr. John Caldwell and wife Carling, granddaughter Dr. Allison Bordlee & husband Paul. Great grandchildren Caleb & Adeline Wilder, Jackson & Carter Caldwell. Many loving nieces and nephews.
Norma graduated from Patti Welder High School in Victoria Texas. Attended U of H nursing school. Retired from Pasadena ISD after 22 years as an Elementary PE teacher. She was a member of South Main Baptist Church and The Mavericks Sunday school class.
Thanks to the staff at Heart-to-Heart Hospice, The Reserve @ Pasadena and Morada in Deer Park for their love and care during Mother’s failing health.
Visitation will be at South Main Baptist Church on Friday, September 16 at 1 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 pm.
Pallbearers are: Charley Padgett, Bob Caldwell, John Caldwell, Jonathan Wilder, Paul Bordlee and Richard Hobart. Honorary pallbearers are: Jacob Rudisill, Mike Ward, Steve McBride and Jackie Rudisill.
