Michael Joe Miller, age 73, of La Porte, TX passed away on June 20th, 2020. He was born in St. Louis, MO on July 31, 1946 to parents Spurgeon and Marie Miller. He was married to Glenda Miller for 45 loving years. Michael was a faithful and hard worker in the oil and gas industry working for SGS. He graduated from Pasadena High School.
Michael had an immense passion for his family and was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Michael loved going to the movies, enjoyed going to work, spent time with his friends, watched sports faithfully, liked to test his luck and play the lotto, and loved his cars. Every morning Michael would get up and drink a cup of coffee, read the paper, and wonder what bonehead move the Texans made. With that, not a single day went by that he wasn’t outside taking care of and washing one of his cars. He also enjoyed stopping by Gringo’s every Wednesday to get one of their margaritas. Michael was also a strong pitcher, and pitched left handed. As a pitcher in baseball he could easily top 100 miles per hour and even had an opportunity to try out for the Astros.

Michael is survived by his two sons; Sean Miller and Christopher Miller & wife Skye; grandchildren Vance Miller, Alyssa Miller, Brye Miller, Gabriella Miller, and Jeremy Endsley; great granddaughters Delilah Miller and Nova Miller; loving friend Joe Milam, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
