Merle J. Stark

Merle Jerome Stark, 82, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 in Whitehouse, Texas. He was born on May 10, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska to Merle D. Stark and Helen Thrane Stark. He is preceded in death by both parents, first wife Connie Stark and his second wife Juanita Stark. Merle is survived by his children Lisa Gibbs, Roger Stark and wife Lydia, Vicki Walker and husband Wayne, Bobby Smith and wife Norma; grandchildren Chassidy Valdez and husband Starksy, Jeremy Jarvis and wife Leah, Devan Gibbs, Stephanie Stark, Andrew Holloway, Ashley Morris, Taylor Smith and Madison Smith; great grandchildren Tyler White, Trey White, Trenton Valdez, Isaiah White and Liam Trevino. He will greatly be missed. Merle was a member of the San Jac Wheelers Camping Club and retired after 28 years from Crown Refinery as a machinist. He enjoyed watching sports, his favorite teams were the Houston Astros, the Rockets and the Houston Texans when they were winning. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Pasadena Funeral Chapel with Funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. officiated by Rev. Roland Hill. Interment will follow immediately after at Forest Park East.
