Melida V. Munoz of Deer Park, Texas, received her wings on August 21, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family who will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest.
She was born on April 9th to Librado and Julia T. Vera.
She is preceded in death by her father, Librado and brother, Oscar Vera.
Left to continue her legacy is her husband of 43 years, Bobby Munoz, three children: Marissa Munoz, Fermin Munoz (Cecilia), and Delissa Munoz, her beloved and only granddaughter, Briana Munoz, her mother, Julia T. Vera, two sisters Linda Vera and Gracie Cortez and two brothers, Luis and Agapito Vera, numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Melida’s passion was spending quality time with her husband, her children, and creating memories with Briana. She also had a passion for assisting the aged and disabled. She never met a stranger and quickly became everyone’s prayer warrior. She was also a perfectionist in every aspect of her life.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505 from 10 am to 8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 30, 2021 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3301 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77503 at 11am with burial in Houston National Cemetery immediately after.
The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, Kelsey Seybold Clinic, Seasons Hospice, and to all our friends and loved ones who have supported us with prayers, support, and love.
