Mary Gonzalez Poche, 83, of Houston, Texas passed away on September 8, 2017. Her love for the Houston sports teams stretched from the Oilers to the Astros and the Rockets and you could often find her rooting her teams. In addition to watching the professionals play she also loved watching her great nephews compete in Little League and Competitive League baseball. She loved spending time with her family and was a long time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Houston where she was able to worship her Lord. She is preceded in death by her husbands Louis G. Gonzalez and Alvin Poche, her granddaughter Theresa Brown and her siblings Ignacio, Andrew, Augustina and Rebecca. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Medellin and husband Joe, granddaughter Laura Dannenbaum and husband Jeff and her great grandsons Noah Castillo and Jaydin Pena. She also leaves behind her sister Catherine Nino and husband Pete and her brother Henry Pena and wife Dora as well as numerous nieces and nephews and countless other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5-9 PM with the rosary being recited at 7 PM and the funeral service will commence at 9 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2017. All services will be held in the chapel of Funeraria Del Angel – Pasadena located at 901 Main St., Pasadena, Texas 77506. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
