Marilyn was born January 12, 1937, in Burton, Texas to John and Virginia Evard. She grew up in Galena Park and graduated from Galena Park Highschool. She married Willard Morris in September 1956, beginning their life of 62 years together.
She is survived by her son David Morris and wife Debbie Morris, daughter Diane Morris and husband Harry White, Granddaughter Jodi Alvarez and husband Marco Alvarez, Grandson Drake Morris, Brother-in-law Billy Bitner and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Willard Morris.
Marilyn was employed by the La Porte School District as a secretary in the Principal and Administration offices. After retirement she enjoyed spending much of her time caring for her grandchildren. She also dearly loved quilting with her friends and family, playing cards with friends, and tending to her gardening. She became a member of First Baptist Church Lomax in 2002 where she served as church secretary for many years until her health declined.
God called Marilyn home on Sunday, October 15, 2023. She will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Grand View Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas.
