Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Christmas morning, December 25, 2022, Maria “Crystal” Williams passed away with her husband Randy by her side holding her hand surrounded by family as she joined her heavenly family and gained her angel wings. A lifelong Houston native, Crystal was well-loved by so many family and friends. Crystal was the mother of 2 and momo of 3 grandchildren. Despite her large number of family and friends, Crystal always made time for everyone. She consistently unconditionally provided love and support for her family. She and her husband, Randy, worked tirelessly to provide opportunities to the kids and grandchildren. She would proudly boasts about her husband, kids and grandchildren any time she could. She was an exceptional wife, mother, daughter and sister who cared for her family and those around her with awe-inspiring devotion.
Crystal was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She met her husband in 1978 and fell in love instantly. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. As a wife she was adoring, determined and compassionate. As a momo she was amusing, affectionate and always a hero. In her free time, Randy and Crystal spent time at their beach house in Galveston and traveling the world together making lifelong memories. She will be greatly missed by her husband, kids, grandchildren, family and friends who adore her with all their hearts. Crystal’s kindness and love for meeting new people, her unbridled enthusiasm when it came to strangers stories, and infectious laughter made sure that Crystal will be missed by those who knew her well and those who only met her once. Befriending people was her thing and Crystal found herself all over the world through those connections.
Randy and Crystal were married 42 miraculous years. Throughout the years Randy and Crystal shared their love for cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, their children, grandchildren and friends. They were each others best friend, soulmates and inseparable from the beginning. They made a promise to never give up on each other, forgive mistakes and build a lifetime of memories together. They’ve seen highs and lows together and would never give up one minute of it. Each other’s true loves, they lived every day knowing they loved each other beyond words.
