Margie Earlene Arnold Hamaker, age 87 of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2019. She was born in Pitkin, Louisiana on September 2, 1932 to George and Essie Arnold. She was married to Jackie Hamaker for 66 years. Margie retired from Schlumberger Oil Field Services. She was a member of Arise Church in Pasadena, Texas. She loved to cook and bake up until her final days. She loved camping, painting and spending time with her family. Margie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents and her brother J.T. Arnold. She is survived by her devoted husband Jackie, sons Rodney and wife Barbara, Tom and wife Lorie, Keith and wife Melissa; grandchildren Dustin (Lilia), Josh (Alyssa), Cory (Jordan), Shane (Jessica) Hamaker; Kelsie (Sean) Powell, and Bianca Hamaker; great grandchildren Brendin and Bryce Hamaker, Julian and Bella Linares, Brayden and Riley Powill, Beckham and Kambrey Hamaker; sister Georgia Marie Hagan (Mason); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm at Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77502. The funeral service is Friday December 20, 2019 at 10am at Pasadena Funeral Chapel with Pastor James Crumb and Pastor Junior Braneff officiating. Internment will be at Self Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana directly after the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Diabetes Association.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Monte Orahood and her special nurses, Joni and Vicki; and all of her hospice caregivers. A special thanks to Pat, Margie’s niece, for being with her in her final days.
