Marbeth Montross

Marbeth Marie Montross (nee’ Rugaard), aged 62, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2018, after an extended illness. Marbeth was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 6, 1955, to Gordon and Mary Rugaard. Marbeth was married to H.K. (Ken) Montross for over 40 years. Marbeth was a devoted wife and mother to two equally amazing children: her son Kenny and her daughter Brittain. Marbeth was a central member of a large and loving family who fondly remember Marbeth’s smile, her amazingly generosity, her loving heart and her warm personality.

Marbeth had a long career in the energy industry. Marbeth had a special fondness for clubs and organizations, particularly the Boy Scouts, the Girls Scouts, the Deer Park High School Band Boosters Club and the Aggie Mom’s Club. Many friends will remember Marbeth’s cheerful service and participation in the community.

Marbeth is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Rugaard. She is survived by her mother Mary Rugaard; her husband H. K. “Ken” Montross, her son Capt. Kenny Montross, wife Allison and granddaughter Kennedy; and daughter Brittain and her fiancé Joe Driscoll. She is also survived by her brother Karl Rugaard and her sister Robin Cramblit along with numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
