She is survived by her oldest sister Julie D'Anne Dippel and her younger brothers Tracy Wayne Dixon, Randall Westley Dixon and wife Cinnamon. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Lynda graduated from S.P. Waltrip high school in Houston, TX in 1972. Lynda was a good athlete and very good at softball. Not long after, she went to nursing school. In time she found a job as a courier delivering packages all of the greater Houston area. She did this for most of her adult life.
From early on Lynda had to deal with mental illness. In the mid to late 70's she was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. In time and with the right medications, she was able to cope with her illness.
Tracy had tried to get her to study the Bible with him for over 20 years. Finally in the spring of 2004, she accepted a Bible study with him. In just a few weeks, she said she wished she had started studying sooner. She claimed that she had learned more about the Bible in those few shorts weeks than she had ever learned during her previous time at the Baptist Church. Lynda studied with Tracy for a good while and then he turned Lynda over to Lou VasiLiou to complete her studies. Lynda had gotten to know Lou by going to Tracy's house on Sunday nights to play 42 (Dominoes), A game she learned from her parents on camping trips as a young girl. Lynda was Baptized as one of Jehovah's witnesses on October 18, 2014.
The truth helped Lynda cope with her mental illness and gave her much needed hope for the future. She was a kind soul who always looked for opportunities to help her friends and family. She was generous to a fault often helping others while putting herself in need. Lynda loved Jehovah, the congregation, her family and friends. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.
We will see her very soon in the New World.
