Linda Guthrie

After a long courageous battle with an illness, on Friday January 20, 2017, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ reached down extending his hand to Linda J. Guthrie, 65, of Pasadena, Texas and said “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise.”

Linda was born on July 20, 1951 in DeRidder, Louisiana. She moved to Texas when she was a small child and lived in Pasadena, Texas until her death.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dwight Guthrie of Pasadena. Two daughters, Cynthia Walker and her husband Clayton Walker of Deer Park, Jennifer Martinez of Pasadena. One grandson, Brandon Walker of Deer Park. Brother, Norman Williams and his wife Sarah Williams of Deer Park, sister in law, Patricia Williams of Pasadena, cousin (sister) Melody Wilson of Pasadena, several cousins, nieces, nephews, grand niece and grand nephew.

She is preceded in death by father, Sam D. Williams, mother, Ilene C. Williams and brother Larry W. Williams.

The visitation is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Grand View Funeral Home in Deer Park, Texas. Services will follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2017 also at the Grand View Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Cole will officiate.
