Linda Jeanette Burkett, 72, of Pasadena passed away on February 1, 2016. She was born on January 8, 1944 to Arlie Elijah Kelly and Opal Lunsford Kelly in Nacogdoches, Texas. Linda was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena. She was part of the Stephen Ministry and Daniel’s School of Prophecy. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gwayne Burkett; sister Nadine Hard; children Terry Burkett and wife Lucie, David Burkett and wife Wendy, Scott Burkett; grandchildren Alex Burkett and wife Ashley, Shelby Burkett, Sabra Burkett, Jacob Burkett, Jeffrey Burkett, Samantha and Gerardo Echevarria; great grandchildren Sarah Burkett, Abigail Burkett, Jackson Burkett, and Harper Burkett and numerous other family members and friends. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Pasadena at 1:00 P.M. with interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
