HM1 Kristofer Lee Guy, 37, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on March 3, 2015. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on October 16, 1977 to Warren “Jerry” and Sherry Guy. Kris graduated from Cleveland High School and attended Trident University International. He married Consernetta “Conni” Rawlings on April 21, 2010. Kris enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after graduation from High School and was currently stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as a LPO. He was also an x-ray technician and Medical Supply Petty Officer. Kris was a wise cracking sharp-witted dedicated Sailor who was also a devoted father and loving husband. He represented himself as an intelligent and compassionate voice for Junior Sailors. He loved his family, he loved what he did, he loved the outdoors and he loved to fish.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Thomas R, Barry, Sr., his grandfather and grandmother, Warren and Dorothy Guy, 4 uncles and sister Debra Briscoe. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Conni, children, Khristian Josiah and Kailyn Azaria, stepdaughters Nykisha, Takiya, and Lakendra Brooks, 2 stepgrandchildren, Kaleb and Saniyah, all of Maryland, his parents, Jerry and Sherry Guy of Splendora, Texas, sisters Jenny Heckathorn of Tomball, Texas and Michelle Reney of Kingwood, Texas, his “Mimi” Peggy Darington of Riverside, Texas, mother-in-law, Annie Rawlings of Maryland, sister-in-law, Faith Harris, 4 brothers-in-law, Joseph Heckathorn, Ken Reney, Issac Rawlings and Gary Rawlings, nieces: Sofia, Hollie, Jordan, Korin, Breannia, Nkaiya, Alayah and nephews Gehrig, Austin, Gary, Jr., Vincent Jr., Kavon, Jesse Jr., Isaiah, Noah, Issac Jr., and Elijah. A host of aunts and uncles, cousins and a multitude of good friends, including his partner in tomfoolery, his Aunt Kathy.
Pallbearers are Joseph Heckathorn, Thomas R. Barry, Jr., Craig Moore, Jared Foster, Mark Krupp and Chris Krupp. Honorary pallbearers are Khristian Guy, Gehrig Heckathorn, Daniel Westcott, Harold Latham and his brothers and sisters in the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be held at the Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas from 5-9 pm in Tuesday, March 10th and services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th. Dr. Robert Rush of First Presbyterian Church of Tomball officiating. A very special thanks to PS1Larry Carpenter for his unwavering support during this time.
