Kim Elaine Edwards passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on April 7, 1955, in Lafayette, Indiana, Kim lived for nearly 50 years in Santa Fe, Texas, and was active in her community. She was a proud graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake and dedicated over two decades of her career to the institution. Her commitment and passion left a lasting impact on her colleagues and countless students she cared for. Kim was an avid nature lover and devoted much of her time to caring for animals. She also enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and embracing the great outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Sue Henson, and her daughter, Kristie. She is survived by her sons, Dustin and Casey; their partners, Julie and Clover; her granddaughters, Audrey and Laura; her sister, Cynthia Lawrence; her brother, Jerry Joe Henson; and their families. Kim cherished her nieces and nephews and their young children.
Kim will be remembered for her warmth, spontaneity, and free and fun-loving spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
